2014 B.A.A. 10K Training Clinic

Location: Boston Common Hotel and Conference Center, Boston, MA

The B.A.A. will offer a training clinic on Monday, May 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the Boston Common Hotel and Conference Center (40 Trinity Place, Boston, MA). This event is free and open to all registered B.A.A. 10K entrants and their guests. The B.A.A.’s experts will discuss training techniques, a course preview, and hold a question and answer session.

The fourth annual B.A.A. 10K will be run on Sunday, June 22, 2014. The race begins and finishes on Charles Street, at Boston Common, in Boston, MA. The race starts at 8:00 a.m. EST. The B.A.A. 10K is the second event in the 2014 B.A.A. Distance Medley.

1972 - Women Official Entrants in Marathon

Although Bobbi Gibb was the first woman to complete the Boston Marathon in 1966, it was not until the 1972 Boston Marathon that women could become official entrants due to a change in AAU rules.
