The 14th annual B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Institute and the Jimmy Fund will be run on Sunday, October 12, 2013. The race begins and finishes near White Stadium (also known as Schoolboy Stadium), in Franklin Park, in Boston, MA. The race starts at 8:30 a.m. EDT. The B.A.A. Half Marathon is the third and final event in the 2014 B.A.A. Distance Medley.

Registration opens for the B.A.A. Half Marathon at 10:00 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, July 16, 2014.

1996 - Centennial Boston Marathon

The historic centennial Boston Marathon in 1996 was monumental for many reasons. It was the not only the first time that the ChampionChip timing and scoring device was used in a major US Marathon, but it was the largest running event ever held at the time. 

The starting field of 38,708 stood for more than seven years as the largest in the history of the sport. Included among the finishers were 16 Boston champions.
