Marathon Foto is the official photographer of the B.A.A. Half Marathon and representatives will take photos along the course and finish. Proofs will be mailed to all participants shortly after the race, or photos may be ordered on-line at www.marathonfoto.com

For the 2012 B.A.A. Half Marathon, participants will have their bib numbers mailed to them in advance of the race. Please remember to bring your bib number with you on the day of the event. If you have not received your bib number by October 3, 2012, please contact the B.A.A. at halfregistration@baa.org.

Please handle your bib with care. Your timing device will be attached to the back of your bib, and if it's bent too much, it will not record your time along the route.

Runners with an active, consecutive streak of Boston Marathon finishes of any length who started the 2013 Boston Marathon and reached the half marathon checkpoint or later but did not have the opportunity to cross the finish line on Boylston Street may count the 2013 Boston Marathon as an official finish and a preservation of their streak. In addition, those runners with 10 or more consecutive Boston Marathon finishes will be eligible to register for the 2014 Boston Marathon during a special registration period from August 19 to August 29.

As your qualifying time is verified, we may find that your name was misspelled, your zip code was wrong, or other minor mistakes with your application. As long as your qualifying time can be verified, these mistakes should not jeopardize your entry into the Boston Marathon. You will be contacted by the B.A.A. eventually to correct this information.

The Award Ceremony is open to all participants and guests. No tickets are required.
A:

Official starters who reached and were recorded at the half marathon checkpoint or later and received a projected finish time at the 2013 Boston Marathon that meets the Boston Marathon qualifying standard for their age and gender for the 2014 Boston Marathon may submit that time during the special registration period for seeding purposes.

Race participants can check belongings at a designated location near the start. Belongings must be claimed shortly following the race. The B.A.A. is not responsible for personal belongings.

A:

Your qualifying time is based on your age on the day of the Boston Marathon, thus your qualifying time will be 3hrs 25 min – and you can be 44 when you run your qualifying race.

Please allow approximately four weeks for application processing. We must receive official results from the race of your qualifying marathon before we can verify your time. Upon acceptance, you will receive an email and/or notification by United States Postal Service mail.
