If you feel there is a discrepancy in your 2015 Boston Marathon finish time, please use the following link to submit a Results Adjustment Form by no later than Thursday, April 30th:

We will look into every adjustment request we receive through Thursday, April 30th. Please note that the adjudication process can take up to a month to complete.

Seats at the finish line at the Boston Marathon are very limited and are reserved only for official race partners. They are not sold by the B.A.A. Nearly the entirety of the Boston Marathon course, including space in view of the Boylston Street Finish Line, is open to the public on a first-come basis.

Please register using the name that you qualified with.  Upon confirmation of acceptance, please send proof of your name change (ie: copy of marriage certificate) to the Registration Office via email (registration@baa.org) or fax (508-435-6590) and we will update it for you. If it’s a case of a divorce, we ask for a copy of the name change portion of the divorce decree.  We can also take a copy of old and new driver’s license.

Free shuttle services, the MBTA, and our drop-off/pick-up location are your best bet. There will be no parking at the event location. Parking in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood is extremely limited, but some spots along the street may be available. For more details on our transportation program, click the button below:

A:

All finishers will receive a B.A.A. Half Marathon medal. Prize money will be awarded equally to men and women, based on gun time. You can find more information here: Prize Money

Awards will be mailed at a later date to the top five finishers overall and top three push rim wheelchair division finishers, along with the first, second and third place finishers in the following age groups for both men and women: 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+.

Participants who complete the course will receive a specially designed finisher's medal.

We are not able to provide transportation to the start from Boston for family or friends.

No. Massage services are not provided at the B.A.A. Half Marathon.

If you're planning to drive to Hopkinton, we advise that you arrive at the South Street Lot at least 45 minutes prior to your starting time. Please take potential traffic congestion into account and note that taking the B.A.A. shuttles is the ONLY way we can guarantee that you'll get to the Athletes' Village on time.

Stop for assistance and direction at one of the 26 Red Cross aid stations along the course. Sweep buses pick up runners at every Red Cross station with drop-off at the finish area medical tent. Aid stations along the course close at staggered times during the day. Finish area facilities officially close six hours after the last runner crosses the start line in Hopkinton. (About 6:00 p.m.)

B.A.A. Moment 1

1920 - Ashland Start

The Boston Marathon began in Ashland, Massachusetts from 1897 through 1923 then moved to Hopkinton for the 1924 race. The course was lengthened to 26 miles, 385 yards to conform to the Olympic standard, and the starting line was moved west from Ashland to Hopkinton. Since then, the race has started in Hopkinton every year.
