Bring a government issued photo I.D. to the card replacement desk in the Number Pick-up area, and we will issue a new card. A Number Pick-up Card must be presented in order to receive your number.

Marathon Foto is the official photographer of the Boston Marathon and representatives will take photos along the course and finish. Proofs will be mailed to all participants shortly after the race, or photos may be ordered on-line at www.marathonfoto.com.

There are a several handicapped-accessible areas in Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton, Brookline, and Boston for spectators to get up close to the race course, but they are not reserved exclusively for handicapped access. There is an area reserved exclusively for handicapped spectators to watch the Boston Marathon at the intersection of Hereford Street and Boylston Street (Boston), on the North side of the course. Spectators can access the reserved area at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Boylston Street (one block West).

As your qualifying time is verified, we may find that your name was misspelled, your zip code was wrong, or other minor mistakes with your application. As long as your qualifying time can be verified, these mistakes should not jeopardize your entry into the Boston Marathon. You will be contacted by the B.A.A. eventually to correct this information.

You may move from your assigned Wave to a later Wave. For example, if you are assigned to Wave 1, you may move back to Wave 2, Wave 3, or Wave 4 in any corral EXCEPT the first corral in either Wave. However, you may NOT move to an earlier Wave. For example, you may not move from Wave 4 to Wave 3, from Wave 3 to Wave 2, or from Wave 2 to Wave 1. Violators are subject to penalties and/or disqualification.

Boston Marathon official Finishers’ Certificates and Racers’ Record Books are typically produced in May and June, and then mailed out in July. Delivery can take up to several weeks to be delivered. Please contact the registration office by sending an email with your current mailing address to registration@baa.org in early September if you do not receive either of these items.

If you are unable to obtain a qualifying time for your gender and age group, you may be interested in exploring the Boston Marathon Official Charity Program. No bags will be allowed on buses from Boston to Hopkinton, and bags will not be transported from Hopkinton back to Boston. Bags will not be allowed in certain areas at or near the start in Hopkinton, at or near the finish in Boston, or along the course. On race morning, participants may check gear at the designated gear check tents on Boylston Street between Arlington and Berkeley Streets. This area is two blocks east of the finish line and one block west of the Boston Public Garden.

Team scoring is based on the combined total net times of: top five finishers in men’s open (may include men over 40), top five finishers in men’s masters (40-over), top three finishers in men’s veterans (50-over), top three finishers in men’s seniors (60-over), and the top three finishers in all women’s divisions. Only one team per club will be scored in each division. Clubs must be current members of USATF or RRCA.
