No bags will be allowed on buses from Boston to Hopkinton, and bags will not be transported from Hopkinton back to Boston. Bags will not be allowed in certain areas at or near the start in Hopkinton, at or near the finish in Boston, or along the course. On race morning, participants may check gear at the designated gear check tents on Boylston Street between Arlington and Berkeley Streets. This area is two blocks east of the finish line and one block west of the Boston Public Garden.

No. Massage services are not provided at the B.A.A. Half Marathon.

Each charity coordinator’s contact information is linked to their charity’s icon, and you can contact them for application instructions. These charities are currently accepting applications, and we suggest that you apply at your earliest convenience if you are interested in running for one.

After you submit your application, you'll receive an e-mail confirming that we've received your application. Verification of your qualified time can then take up to five weeks as the results from your qualifying race are verified. Once we verify your time, you'll receive a second e-mail that confirms your entrance into the Boston Marathon.

The B.A.A. asks for your cooperation and patience during this verification process. Please do not contact the B.A.A. during this period unless requested to do so by the Registration office.

If you're planning to drive to Hopkinton, we advise that you arrive at the South Street Lot at least 45 minutes prior to your starting time. Please take potential traffic congestion into account and note that taking the B.A.A. shuttles is the ONLY way we can guarantee that you'll get to the Athletes' Village on time.

No. For safety reasons, baby joggers/strollers, in-line skates, skateboards and like vehicles of any kind, and animals are not permitted on the B.A.A. Half Marathon course.
