On Sunday, October 12, 2014, the Boston Athletic Association will host the 14th B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. As we prepare for this year’s race along the Emerald Necklace park system in Boston and Brookline, we would like to share some important details with you, including information on the course and race-related road closures.

For athletes with disabilities, registration into the 2015 Boston Marathon will occur on a “rolling admission” schedule similar to the registration process for Qualifiers, beginning with the fastest from among those who meet the requirements.

The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) today continued its notification to applicants of their acceptance into the 2015 Boston Marathon®. In preparation for the 2015 Boston Marathon, the B.A.A. implemented the same registration process for qualified runners as it used in the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Marathons, allowing the fastest qualifiers to register first. The 119th Boston Marathon will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 and will mark the 30th consecutive year that the event will have John Hancock Financial as its principal sponsor.

Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon has now closed. The registration process for the 2015 Boston Marathon began on September 8, and the maximum number of athletes who ran a qualifying performance and submitted their application for entry has now been reached. Registration will not reopen on Monday, September 22.

Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon will reopen on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. ET and will continue through Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

During this period, any eligible qualifier may submit an application for entry.  Entry is not first-come, first-served during this period.

Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon will reopen on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. ET and will continue through Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon opens on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The B.A.A. will use the same process to register qualified runners as it used in the 2012, 2013, and 2014 Boston Marathons, allowing the fastest qualifiers to register first.

General registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon will open on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. (ET) for those qualifiers who have met the qualifying standard by 20 minutes, 00 seconds or faster.

The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) has set a field size of 30,000 entrants for the 2015 Boston Marathon. Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon will open on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The B.A.A. will use the same process to register qualified runners as it used for the Boston Marathon in 2012, 2013 and 2014, allowing the fastest qualifiers in their gender and age group to register first.

The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) today concluded registration for the 2014 B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. Registration began on Wednesday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m. ET, and continued through Thursday, July 17 at 5:00 p.m. ET. The B.A.A. Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, October 12 and has a start time of 8:30 a.m. ET. The B.A.A. Half Marathon is the third and final race in the 2014 B.A.A. Distance Medley, which also includes the B.A.A. 5K in April and the B.A.A. 10K in June.
