Getting to your assignment

WEEKEND EVENTS
• The John Hancock Sports and Fitness Expo is located at the Seaport World Trade Center, 200 Seaport Boulevard.
• The World Trade Center Station on the Silver Line will be open for Expo volunteers. South Station on the Red Line is a one mile walk from the Expo.
• The Copley MBTA Station on the Green Line will be open for weekend assignments.
• The Copley MBTA Station will be closed on Monday, April 16, 2018.
• The Back Bay MBTA Station on the Orange Line will be open for race day Copley Square area assignments.
• Post Race Party volunteers should take the Green Line to the Kenmore or Fenway stations.

START - HOPKINTON
• The roads leading into the town of Hopkinton will shut down at 7:00 a.m. to personal vehicles.

Driving Directions from points east of Hopkinton
• From Boston, take the Mass. Turnpike (I-90 West) to Route 9 (Exit 12).
• Follow Route 9 West to Route 85 South.
• Parking is available at Hopkinton State Park.
• Shuttle buses will bring volunteers from the State Park to the town center (corner of Routes 85 and 135) beginning at 5:00 a.m.

From Boston and all other directions:
• Take the Mass. Turnpike (I-90 West) to I-495 South to Exit 21A.
• Follow to the third set of traffic lights and take a left onto Route 85 north.
• Hopkinton State Park is approximately two miles on the right.
• Parking is available at Hopkinton State Park.
• Shuttle buses will bring volunteers from the State Park to the town center (corner of Routes 85 and 135) beginning at 5:00 a.m.
Please note: there will be no parking available for Athletes’ Village volunteers at the Hopkinton Elementary School. All volunteer parking is at Hopkinton State Park. Please allow extra time to ride the shuttle. 

Volunteer Buses to Hopkinton
• Two buses for VOLUNTEERS ONLY will leave on Monday, April 16, 2018 from John Hancock Hall, 200 Berkeley Street (corner of Berkeley and Stuart Streets in Boston), at 5:20 a.m. and 5:40 a.m sharp. (Timing is subject to change. Any changes will be communicated via email.)
• Take the MBTA Green Line to Arlington Street station or the Orange Line to Back Bay station and walk to the Berkeley Street location.
• Buses will drop volunteers off at the Center School and Hopkinton Middle School (adjacent to the Athletes’ Village).
• Buses will begin return to Boston from Hopkinton starting a 1:00pm.

COURSE
Hydration Stations
• Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation.
• Some hydration stations are accessible by the MBTA.
• You should park on a nearby street (please be aware you cannot park on the course). Please consult your Team Captain for specific instructions.

Mile Markers
• Mile Marker volunteers will be transported to their location from Boston together with appropriate equipment. Please consult your Team Captain for specific instructions.

Course Medical Stations
• Course Medical Volunteers are to report to their morning meeting locations. Parking is available at both locations.
Babson College - 231 Forest Street, Wellesley, MA
Newton North High School - 457 Walnut Street, Newton, MA
• Volunteers will be given directions to their Medical Stations during the morning meeting.
• Parking is available near every station; please check with your Station Leader for further details during the morning meeting. 

FINISH AREA

• Unless otherwise noted, finish area volunteer check-in meetings will take place at John Hancock Hall, 200 Berkeley Street, Boston.
• Parking in Boston is limited and we regret that we cannot make parking available; please take the MBTA.
• Please note that Copley Station will be closed on race day.
• Back Bay station on the Orange Line is the closest stop to the Copley Square area on race day.
