Help with registering to volunteer at the Boston Marathon

Q: How do I make a change to my application?
A: If you need to make a change to your application, please email Alaina Belanger at abelanger@baa.org and include your application confirmation number. Please do not submit a second application.

Q: I want to volunteer with a friend/group of people. How do we apply?
A: If you would like to be placed with another volunteer or group of volunteers, please create a group to keep your applications together. You will be prompted to create a new group name and passcode, and will be asked to pick up to three shared assignment preferences. Please share that group name and passcode with your desired group members before they register. For groups larger than 10, please email abelanger@baa.org.

Q: When will I hear back about a volunteer assignment?
A: Assignments for the 2018 Boston Marathon are not guaranteed. Everyone who submits a volunteer application will be notified by mid-March. If you have not heard from us by March 14, 2018 please email volunteer@baa.org.

Q: I forgot my Volunteer Loyalty Number. What do I do?
A: Please email abelanger@baa.org with your first name, last name, and date of birth.

Q: How can I increase my chances of receiving an assignment?
A: To increase your chances of receiving an assignment, we recommend selecting at least one “Wherever I’m Needed” assignment preference.
