All participants are invited to celebrate their accomplish¬ment with family and friends at the Fenway Park Open House. Experience America’s most beloved ballpark and relax before the Official Post-Race Party at Boston’s House of Blues next door.

  • Entrance: Gate B (Corner of Ipswich and Van Ness).
  • Please present your Runner Passport®. Runner guest(s) must accompany runner when entering Fenway Park.
  • Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
  • Admission is free. Guests of all ages are welcomed.
  • Buses: Continuous shuttle bus service from major hotels beginning at 6:00 p.m. (see below for hotel listings)
  • Entertainment: DJ providing lively music
  • Park Access: Guests will be able to mingle throughout the big concourse (from Gate B to Gate C) as well as walk out into the stadium seats for a magnificent view of the field. There is no access to the field.
  • Lights: The big stadium lights will be on throughout the evening.
  • No backpacks will be allowed into Fenway Park.

Boston Marathon Mile 27: The Official Post-Race Party, presented by Samuel Adams will feature a range of Samuel Adams products, including the official beer of the Boston Marathon, 26.2 Boston Brew, on tap. Complimentary light dinner fare will be available while supplies last, a re-broadcast of the day's race will air on large screens, and the day's winners and top finishers will be presented to the crowds. A live DJ will pick up the beat after 10:00 p.m., and a complimentary ticket is included in every participant’s Runner Passport

  • Additional tickets for family and friends are $25 each and can be purchased at the Party Ticket Booth at the Boston Marathon Number Pick-up area of the John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.
  • Massachusetts liquor law requires that visitors to the Boston Marathon Mile 27 at the House of Blues be at least 21 years of age.
  • No backpacks will be allowed into House of Blues.

1966 - Bobbi Gibb

Although not an official entrant, Roberta “Bobbi” Gibb became the first woman to run the Boston Marathon. Joining the starting field shortly after the gun had been fired, Gibb finished the race in 3:21:40 to place 126th overall. Gibb again claimed the “unofficial” title in 1967 and 1968.
