CLINIC INFORMATION

Hosted by the B.A.A. and in cooperation with our sponsors, race officials, staff, and experts, these clinics will get you ready to run your best Boston Marathon.

Training clinics will be offered prior to the 2015 Boston Marathon, and they will be held at the Boston Common Hotel and Conference Center (formerly the John Hancock Hotel and Conference Center). The Boston Common Hotel and Conference Center is conveniently located in Boston's Back Bay at the corner of Stuart Street and Trinity Place across from the John Hancock Tower and adjacent to the MBTA's Back Bay Station.

Designed to help you train to run your best race, the clinics were free and open to officially registered athletes in the 2015 Boston Marathon and their guests.

CLINIC FORMAT

5:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Clinic registration and official Boston Marathon adidas apparel. Interact with B.A.A. and adidas staff, officials and experts before the clinic begins.

6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Presentation – each clinic concentrates on various topics and will feature experts in their field.

7:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.

B.A.A. Moment 2

1935 John A. Kelley

Born in West Medford, Massachusetts as one of ten children, Kelley ran track and cross-country at Arlington High School in Massachusetts. He did not finish his first Boston Marathon in 1928, but eventually competed in a record 61 Boston Marathons. A legend of the marathon, Kelley won the 1935 and 1945 runnings of the Boston Marathon. He finished in second place at Boston a record seven times. Between 1934 to 1950, he finished in the top five 15 times at Boston, consistently running in the 2:30s. He ran his last full marathon at Boston in 1992 at the age of 84, his 61st start and 58th finish there.
