Summer Search provides 375 low-income high school students with comprehensive support so they invest in their education, gain skills to succeed in college, and dramatically improve their life prospects. Starting sophomore year, Summer Search students receive weekly one-on-one mentoring from highly trained, full-time staff, scholarships to private summer programs, and college advising. Their life-changing summer experiences may include wilderness expeditions, community service projects abroad, and academic preparation on college campuses. Ultimately, these students break cycles of poverty and give back to their communities as leaders. Our results speak for themselves: 100% of Summer Search students graduate from high school, 89% graduate from college, compared to 11% of their low-income peers.
