Team With A Vision brings together athletes who are blind and visually impaired, their sighted guides, and B.A.A. charity runners to benefit the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MABVI). Join our team as we train for and race in the Boston Marathon as well as raise much-needed funds and awareness for MABVI. By running with our Team With A Vision at the Boston Marathon you will not only have an unforgettable experience, you will have a tremendous impact on the lives of those who are blind or visually impaired.

MABVI was founded in 1903, with Helen Keller serving as an original board member. We are the leader in creating opportunities for the blind and visually impaired throughout Massachusetts to live more independent lives. The funds we raise support MABVI’s life-changing programs, including vision rehabilitation, local support groups, and 1:1 volunteer matches we provide statewide. These critical funds will help individuals of all ages who are blind or visually impaired to remain healthy and independent.

Team With A Vision is made up of athletes who have qualified in the Visually Impaired Division or Open Division, charity runners, and sighted running guides from all over the world.  Beyond the race itself, we create a complete marathon weekend experience full of festivities for all of our runners, and these events combined with our high level of logistical support create a strong sense of camaraderie, spirit, and community.

As a member of Team With A Vision you will have a rewarding and unique experience like no other, have the opportunity to meet elite athletes who are blind and visually impaired, and at the same time raise funds and awareness for a statewide leader in providing support for individuals who are blind and visually impaired.

Our Team With A Vision Invitational Waiver athletes will receive:
  • Personalized Fundraising Plan, tips, resources, and one-on-one assistance
  • Training support from our team coach
  • Informative team meetings and newsletters
  • Marathon weekend festivities
  • Commemorative team apparel
  • Unsurpassed camaraderie and volunteer support
