What is the deadline to apply to run the Boston Marathon for one of the Boston Marathon Official Charities?
In order to apply to run for one of Boston Marathon Official Charities, you must contact your charity of interest directly. All charities that are selected to participate in the Boston Marathon Official Charity Program are currently featured on our website and include an icon that links to contact information for the marathon coordinator. The marathon coordinator for each charity will be able to provide you with information about their application and selection process, requirements and deadlines.

What are the fundraising requirements to run the Boston Marathon for one of the Boston Marathon Official Charities?
Each individual who runs the Boston Marathon for one of our official charities is required to raise a minimum of $5,000.

Each of our official charities has their own application and selection process, requirements and deadlines. Please contact the marathon coordinator for your charity of interest for more information. Can I run for charity to gain entry into the Boston Marathon?
Yes! Running for one of the Boston Marathon Official Charities not only provides you with a guaranteed entry into the Boston Marathon, but it also provides the opportunity to support a cause that is important to you. All charities that are selected to participate in the Boston Marathon Official Charity Program are currently featured on our website. In order to apply to run for one of our official charities, you must contact your charity of interest directly.

I’ve secured my entry into the Boston Marathon and am interested in supporting my favorite charity. What should I do?
Runners who have secured entry into the Boston Marathon are welcome to fundraise for their favorite charity. If your favorite charity is a member of the Boston Marathon Official Charity Program, the contact information for that charity’s marathon coordinator is currently featured on our website.

I do not have a qualifying time for my gender and age group but am very interested in running the Boston Marathon. Can I gain entry by fundraising for a charity that is not a member of the Boston Marathon Official Charity Program?
If your charity of interest is not a member of the Boston Marathon Official Charity Program, you must contact that charity directly to inquire if they have a program by which they provide guaranteed entries to the Boston Marathon.
