The B.A.A. oversees and manages the most prestigious race in the world – the Boston Marathon, and a number of smaller events throughout the course of the year that are immensely popular among the running community. Most notably, the B.A.A. Half Marathon in October reached it’s field size limit of 7,000 just hours after opening registration. The inaugural B.A.A. 10K was held on June 26, 2011, and the B.A.A. 5K offers a thrilling prelude to the Boston Marathon on the Sunday before the big race.
