Below is a comprehensive list of important dates to know leading into the 2017 Boston Marathon. From when you receive notice of your acceptance to the time you arrive in Boston for the race, the Boston Athletic Association will be providing you with all the necessary information you need in order to get the most out of your experience.

TODAY

At any time, you will be able to search our entry list page.

SEPTEMBER, 2016

Registration begins, and entrants are notified of acceptance or non-acceptance into the 2017 Boston Marathon.

OCTOBER, 2016

You will receive your ofifical acceptance card for the 2017 Boston Marathon. It will confirm your entry and contact information, and it is a great keepsake to celebrate your accomplishment.

 

NOVEMBER, 2016

Beginning in November, we will be sending you newsletters with event updates, important dates to remember, and other various pieces of information. If you happen to change your email address, please let us know so we can guarntee that you receive these communications.

Beginning November 1, those who wish to update your qualifying time in order to potentially improve their seeding in the 2017 Boston Marathon may do below. Once your time has been verified, you will receive an updated entry confirmation. Submission will be taken until Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

Starting in November and continuing up until the race, the B.A.A. will provide local entrants with specialized training clinics to help them better prepare for the Boston Marathon. These clinics will be located at Boston Marathon adidas RunBase, and will be limited in capacity. MARCH, 2017

Bib numbers will be assigned and the break between waves will be determined. Bib numbers will be determined by your qualifying time and posted to the entry list page.

APRIL, 2017

You will receive your Boston Marathon Runner Passport™, Number Pick-Up Card, and Welcome Booklet with race instructions. Bib number and wave assignment will be printed on that card. Your Welcome Booklet will contain additional information on race weekend, pre- and post-race parties, gear check, transportation to the start line, what to expect at the start and finish lines, and much more.
