Emergency Procedures

  • Remain calm. Participants and volunteers are looking to you for guidance.
  • In the case of an emergency, follow instructions of public safety and event officials
  • Lookout for SMS and email messages from the B.A.A. with details and updates
  • Pay attention to announcements over PA system
  • Stay off your event issued radio unless you have an urgent matter
  • If directed to an emergency shelter, move quickly and calmly to the closest shelter location, keeping in mind the closest shelter may be an event bus.

  • If you or someone near you requires non-urgent medical assistance, locate the closest event official who can request medical support.
  • If you or someone near you requires urgent medical assistance, please call 9-1-1.

  • Remain aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the nearest public safety officer
  • When making a report, describe specifically what you observed, including:
    • What you saw.
    • When you saw it.
    • Where it occurred.
    • Why is it suspicious.
