This year’s Giving Day is the Single Highest Day of Fundraising in Boston Marathon History
Boston, MA – March 13, 2026 — This year’s Boston Marathon Giving Day raised a record-setting $2.026 million and is the single highest day of fundraising in Boston Marathon history. Bank of America and The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) hosted a Boston Marathon Giving Day celebration event on Thursday, March 12 at the Bank of America building at 100 Federal Street. The evening recognized the fundraising momentum and honored the passion, commitment, and impact of the 193 Official Charity Program Members and their runners, fueling inspiration leading up to the 130th running of the Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on April 20, 2026. During the event, Bank of America surprised two nonprofits – The Hoyt Foundation and One Summit – with $2,500 each at the event.
“Each year, the Boston Marathon showcases the incredible generosity and spirit of this community. Seeing a record breaking $2 million raised for charity is a powerful reminder that this event is about more than competition — it’s about people coming together to support causes that strengthen our neighborhoods across Massachusetts,” says Miceal Chamberlain, President of Bank of America Massachusetts.
