2023 B.A.A. Half Marathon presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund Returns to Franklin Park on Sunday

A field of 9,000 participants – including world-class professional athletes, Boston Marathon champions, and American record holders – will compete in New England’s signature half marathon

BOSTON – The 2023 B.A.A. Half Marathon presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund will be held this Sunday, November 12, starting and finishing within Boston’s Franklin Park. A field of 9,000 athletes from Greater Boston and beyond will take to the roads of Boston and Brookline in pursuit of the coveted unicorn finisher’s medal.

Half Marathon Heroes: Past Champions Return to Boston

A wealth of talent is getting ready to descend on the streets and neighborhoods of Boston for the B.A.A. Half Marathon presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. Before they packed their cases, we asked three of them to tell us about their reparations ahead of the half and their thoughts on coming back to Boston.  

Defending men’s champion, Geoffrey Koech from Kenya: 

It feels very nice to be coming back to Boston, knowing that I am the reigning champion. I have trained specifically for this year now that I know the course. 

B.A.A. Crowns 2024 Boston Middle School Cross Country Champions

More than 350 students participated in individual and relay races at Franklin Park on Thursday

Franklin Park, Boston, Mass. (20-Oct) – Champions were crowned on a picture-perfect fall morning at the 2023 Boston Middle School Cross Country Championships on Thursday, October 19. Hosted by the Boston Athletic Association at Franklin Park, more than 350 middle school student-athletes from 14 City of Boston schools competed over a 1.1-mile course.

BOSTON – The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) announced today a star-studded professional field for the 2023 B.A.A. Half Marathon presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. Defending champions Viola Chepngeno, Geoffrey Koech, and Jenna Fesemyer all return, while American half marathon record holder Keira D’Amato will take on the challenging course for the first time on Sunday, November 12.
