Q&A With B.A.A. Running Coach Mark Carroll

"All you can ever give is your best on the day; do that and you can be proud of yourself no matter the results.’"

 That’s the best piece of coaching advice that Mark Carroll, Head Coach of the B.A.A. High Performance Team and the B.A.A Running Club, was given as an athlete. Mark hails from Cork, Ireland, and came to the United Stated to study at Providence College in Rhode Island and pursue his running career.  

30 Years of Service: Celebrating Some of our Incredible Long-serving B.A.A. Volunteers

At the end of this month, the B.A.A. will hold a special event to celebrate and thank our volunteers who have been with us for an incredible three decades.

More than 33,000 qualified participants applied for entry during Registration Week

BOSTON – Qualifier registration for the 128th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America has closed at the end of Registration Week (Sept. 11-15) with a record-setting 33,000 applications received by the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.).
