Back in 2014, the first 5K in Roxbury, Boston took place. A decade later, the event has grown in participation, programming, sponsorship and its impact on this local community. It is a wonderful example of collaboration, community and teamwork that brings positive results around the sport of running.

BOSTON (9-July) -- The Boston Athletic Association seeks to redesign and relaunch its website, www.BAA.org, and has opened a request for proposal submissions. The current iteration of www.baa.org was launched in 2018 and has accomplished many of the goals set out at the time. As our organization has evolved and our commitment beyond mass-participatory events has grown, new needs have arisen.

Smiles Shine Through Rain-Soaked 2024 Boston 10K presented by Brigham and Women’s Hospital

BOSTON – More than 8,100 athletes took part in today’s 2024 Boston 10K presented by Brigham and Women’s Hospital persevering through intermittent downpours to reach the finish at Boston Common. Sabastian Sawe (Kenya) and Melknat Wudu (Ethiopia) each won their first B.A.A. event, breaking the tape in 27:42 and 31:15, respectively. In the wheelchair division, Hermin Garic (USA) defended his title in 24:22, while Egypt’s Hoda Ismail prevailed in 26:52.

BOSTON – The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) looks forward to welcoming nearly 10,000 participants to the 2024 Boston 10K presented by Brigham and Women’s Hospital this Sunday, June 23. Running through a new course featuring scenic views of Boston and Cambridge, the 6.2-mile event serves to kick-off summer, finishing at Boston Common. The race begins at 8:00 a.m. ET.

BOSTON—The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) in partnership with Bank of America, today announced that an anticipated $500 million will benefit mission aligned non-profit organizations over the next decade. The vast majority of these funds will come from the incredible fundraising efforts of those participants in the Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program.
