BOSTON (15-April) – A course record, an historic pace at halfway, possible Olympic berths on the line, and the largest pack of women at 20 miles the race has ever seen: The 128th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America offered drama at every turn as 26,596 starters made their way from Hopkinton to Boston, cheered by huge crowds on a dry, sunny spring Patriots’ Day.

BOSTON (13-April) — An event record, the largest field in history and a sister act got Boston Marathon weekend off to a rousing start, with the Boston 5K presented by Point32Health and the B.A.A. Invitational Mile kicking off race action on Saturday morning.

BOSTON— The Boston Athletic Association is leading the way in the marathon world by offering medical volunteers the chance to earn Continuing Education (CE) credits as part of their preparation for the Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America.
Thanayi Henry is running the Boston Marathon as part of the CommUnity Runs Boston Program. She has been an Early Education Teacher (Kindergarten and First Grade) for 26 years and this year she is juggling her career, other activities and running 26.2 miles.
“I am running for Ashland and its many wonderful community programs and services”, shares 45-year-old registered nurse Margaret Kironde Musoke.
The mother of four has spent years watching the marathon and it’s this annual event that reignited a love of running that she had in her younger years.
