261 Fearless, Inc.
PLEASE NOTE THAT 261 Fearless IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THEIR 127TH BOSTON MARATHON TEAM.
261 Fearless, Inc. is a global non-profit organization founded by pioneer runner Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to officially run and finish the Boston Marathon.
Through local 261 women’s only running clubs, education programs, communication platforms and social events, the 261 Fearless network empowers and unites women around the world, breaking down the barriers of geography and creating a global community for women runners of all abilities to support and talk to each other, encouraging healthy living, a positive sense of self and fearlessness.
Thanks to substantial fundraising through the Boston Marathon, our Boston area clubs are receiving special financial support. Funds raised through the Boston Marathon Official Charity Program will go towards the 261 Education Program and local 261 Clubs, supporting them with ongoing education and outreach which in turn helps women to become empowered through running.
261 Fearless Inc. is both grateful and proud to be an official Charity Partner of the 2020 Boston Marathon, and we welcome both invitational and time-qualified runners on our Charity Team.
For 261 Fearless Charity Team members, the experience is more than running a marathon. We provide a supportive environment the moment runners join the team, and far beyond the finish line. Fundraising and training support, monthly team calls, team gear, and Marathon weekend festivities that extend both before and after the race are all features of Team 261 Fearless membership. You are not just a runner for 261, you are part of the extended 261 global network that is empowering women all around the world!
