If providing outdoor education opportunities for Boston students resonates with you, we encourage you to apply and "run like Hale!” Our team’s fundraising efforts support two programs that amplify the work of Boston Public Schools (BPS): Hale Outdoor Learning Adventures (HOLA) and Intrepid Academy at Hale (IAH).

HOLA is a BPS 5th Quarter Summer Learning Academy. These public-private partnerships provide summer learning opportunities for Boston students. The program staves summer learning loss encourages academic gains and healthy physical activity, and develops social-emotional skills during the summer months so students are ready to begin the next grade in the fall.

IAH is a semester-long outdoor program that helps BPS students learn beyond the walls of conventional classrooms by getting high school students outside and enabling them to earn traditional course credits through a nontraditional, active educational experiences. 

Experiential learning opportunities like those available in HOLA and IAH can be difficult for urban students to access. At Hale, we are closing that gap. We know time actively spent outdoors is good for our minds and bodies, and by representing Team Hale, you’ll join us in supporting this important work as you serve as a role model for Boston’s youth.
