LIVE AN ACTIVE LIFE.
The B.A.A. was established in 1887 as a non-profit organization that promotes a healthy lifestyle through sports, especially running.
Support our races
B.A.A. events would not be possible without the hard work of our dedicated Volunteer Corps. Our volunteers are held to the highest standards, and at each event their work exceeds the expectations of athletes, race, staff, spectators, and community members.
The group will establish a framework to advise the B.A.A. on when, and how, the Boston Marathon and other large, in-person B.A.A. road races can be held safely again. The group’s findings will inform the 2021 Boston Marathon registration timeline.
Our mission for over 130 years has been to promote health and fitness through running, and we believe that everyone—no matter their race, gender, or background—should be able to advance their well-being safely & without fear or discrimination of any kind.
