The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) has announced that 193 organizations have been selected for the 2026 Bank of America Boston Marathon® Official Charity Program. Organizations will raise funds for worthy causes ahead of the 130th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on Monday, April 20, 2026.

BOSTON – Following a successful registration week for the 130th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America, the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) today announced updates pertaining to the Patriots’ Day race.

Athletes can submit a registration application between September 8-12 

With qualifier registration opening for the 130th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America in September, the Boston Athletic Association reminds athletes of what to expect during registration week, September 8-12. The 130th Boston Marathon will feature a field size of 30,000 athletes and will be run on Monday, April 20, 2026.  

BOSTON (Sunday, June 22) – A quartet of familiar champions returned to the top spot of the podium at today’s Boston 10K presented by Brigham and Women’s Hospital, kicking off the summer season in style. Kenya’s Sharon Lokedi earned her second B.A.A. race win of the year, building upon her course record at April’s Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America, while Tanzania’s Gabriel Geay won his third Boston 10K men’s title since 2018.

Nearly 10,000 athletes to race in Boston this Sunday, June 22; Event storylines and information below

BOSTON (Tuesday, June 17) – The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) looks forward to welcoming nearly 10,000 participants to the 2025 Boston 10K presented by Brigham and Women’s Hospital this Sunday, June 22. The 6.2-mile event kicks off the summer season with a route that crosses the Charles River, features beautiful views of Boston and Cambridge, passes over the Boston Marathon finish line, and finishes at Boston Common. The race begins at 8:00 a.m. ET.

2026 Registration Dates, 2027 Qualifying Window and New Downhill Course Procedures Announced

BOSTON (Monday, June 16 at 1:00 p.m.) — The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) has announced registration updates and information pertaining to both the 2026 and 2027 editions of the Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America. Also announced today are new procedures pertaining to significant net-downhill Boston Marathon qualifying races.
