ROAD CLOSURES FOR BOSTON 10K

Learn where roads will close during race time

Streets and roadways which comprise and abut the 10K course will be closed to vehicular traffic on the morning of June 22 at approximately 7:30 a.m. Charles Street is expected to close at 5:00 a.m. and reopen at approximately at 11:30 a.m. Roads will reopen later in the morning per judgement of Boston Police and Massachusetts State Police.

Boston 

  • Charles Street: Boylston to Longfellow  
  • Longfellow Bridge: Inbound to Boston side 
  • Massachusetts Avenue: Bridge to Beacon St 
  • Beacon St: Mass Ave to Silber Way 
  • Silber Way: Beacon to Comm Ave 
  • Commonwealth Ave (westbound): Silber Way to Charlesgate W 
  • Commonwealth Ave (eastbound): Charlesgate W to Hereford St 
  • Hereford St: Commonwealth Ave to Boylston St 
  • Boylston Street: Hereford to Charles 

Cambridge 

  • Memorial Drive: Longfellow Bridge to Vassar St 

No Parking Zones will be posted on certain parts of the course. Including, but not limited to, are the following areas:

Saturday, June 21st 6am to Sunday, June 22nd 12pm  

  • Beacon Street  
  • South Side (Boston Common Side), from Charles Street to Joy Street  

Sunday, June 22nd 12:01am to Sunday, June 22nd 12pm  

  • Beacon Street  
  • North Side, From Charles Street to Spruce Street  
  • Boylston Street 
  • Both sides, from Arlington Street to Charles Street  
  • Charles Street  
  • Both sides, from Boylston Street to Beacon Street  

Sunday, June 22nd 6am to Sunday, June 22nd 12pm  

  • Charles Street  
  • Both Sides, from Beacon Street to Mt. Vernon Street  
  • Boylston Street  
  • Both Sides, from Exeter to Dartmouth Street  
  • Bay State Road  
  • Both Sides, Beacon to Silber Way

BOSTON COMMON GARAGE

Closes at 5:00 a.m. to cars entering the garage. Reopens roughly at 11:00 a.m. when the road is reopened. The garage will always allow exit traffic.
