B.A.A. Volunteers take pride in their roles supporting athletes and ensuring a positive race experience.

Registration
Volunteer registration will open in the spring within your B.A.A. Athletes’ Village account
- After signing in, the registration banner will be at the top of your account home page.
- If you applied last year, or already have an account you can sign in to access the application. If you are new to the B.A.A., please follow the steps to create an Athletes’ Village account prior to finding the application.
- You will receive an email with your confirmation number when your application is complete. This serves as confirmation that we received your application, not as confirmation of your assignment.

Assignment Notifications sent to Volunteers
Volunteers stuff and scan athlete bibs. This shift takes place at our warehouse in Hopkinton during the week. Email volunteer@baa.org if you are interested in bib stuffing.
Volunteers will prepare nutrition bags for athletes to take after the race. This shift takes place at our warehouse in Hopkinton during the week. Email volunteer@baa.org if you are interested in food bag stuffing.

Assignment Notifications sent to Volunteers
Official participants have the opportunity to check a bag with their belongings prior to the race. Volunteers will help athletes check a bag and then retrieve it after the race.
Check-in location: Volunteer Tent on Boston Common near Charles Street
Sunday: 6:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Volunteers will help with set-up and distribution of various food and beverage products for runners after the race.
Check-in location: Volunteer Tent on Boston Common near Charles Street
Sunday: 6:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Volunteers will assist with the flow of various entrances and exits around the Start/Finish area for athletes, press, spectators and elite athletes.

Sunday: 6:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Volunteers will set-up and distribute participant shirts to participants before and after the race.

Sunday: 5:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Volunteers will provide athletes with direction and support along the course. Volunteers will meet near the Start/Finish area and be transported to locations along the course.

Sunday: 6:15 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Volunteers will assist with registration for youth races and supporting the start/finish of youth races on Boston Common.

Volunteers will set up medical equipment and provide medical assistance to runners.

Volunteers will assist with race day communications.
