Starting and finishing at DCR’s Carson Beach, the Shoreline 5K showcases the scenic harbor with an out-and-back 3.1-mile course. Run, walk, or simply enjoy the summer evening at the Shoreline 5K!

Location: DCR’s Carson Beach, near the Edward J. McCormack Bathhouse

Date: Thursday, August 6

Time: Bib pick-up starts at 4:30 p.m., race starts at 6:00 p.m.

Registration Details: Registration opens June 4 within Athletes’ Village.

General Registration will open June 4 within the B.A.A.’s Athletes’ Village. Registration is first-come, first-served, and the entry fee is $35.

Athletes who have a special access entry code can register within Athletes’ Village.

All athletes will receive a special event item, plus event amenities and timing.

Entries are non-transferrable, non-deferrable, and non-refundable, and athletes must be 10 years old on race day to participate.

Instructions to Register

Login to the B.A.A.’s Athletes’ Village, or create a profile if you don’t already have one.
Once logged in, click the registration button for the Shoreline 5K.
Complete the application with your information.
If you have a coupon code, be sure to input the code within the form.
You’ll receive a confirmation email once your registration has been accepted.

Time: Bib Pick-Up starts at 4:30 p.m., Run/Walk Starts at 6:00 p.m.

Location: Starts and finishes at Carson Beach, near the Edward J. McCormack Bathhouse with the route running out-and-back along the shoreline on William J. Day Boulevard.

Get Here Early: Arrive early as parking is limited! Public transportation or carpooling is encouraged. Plan your transportation here.

We strongly encourage all those participating in the Carson Beach Shoreline 5K to use public transportation to access the race course. Parking is extremely limited. Personal bike storage is available at Gear Check free of charge.

Parking: Extremely limited parking is available nearby at the UMass/Bayside Lot. Enter via Mt. Vernon Street. Pay-by-Plate (electronic) is available for $9.00.

MBTA: By train, take the Red Line (Braintree or Ashmont) to JFK/UMass then walk 0.5 Miles along William J. Day Blvd. to Carson Beach. By bus, Take the #10 Bus (City Point via South Bay Center) to Dorchester St. at Vinton St.

BlueBikes: Bike Town at Moakley Park (0.3 Miles), JFK/UMass MBTA (0.5 Miles), Geiger Gibson Community Health (0.5 Miles), Columbia Rd at Tierney Community Center (0.7 Miles)

Rideshare: Rideshare drop off should occur at the JFK/UMass MBTA stop.
