BOSTON—The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) is now accepting media credential applications from outlets intending to cover the 127th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 17, 2023. A field of 30,000 entrants from 116 countries and all 50 U.S. states will compete on Patriots’ Day.
Instructions on how to apply for media credentials and a detailed media events schedule can be found below. Please note that media credential allocations and workspaces within media areas are limited at this year’s Boston Marathon. We will do our best to grant as many media credentials as possible, though are unable to guarantee access to those who have received media credentials in the past.
Resources including the race media guide, transcripts of interviews, results, splits, courtesy photos, and other pertinent race information will be made available here closer to race day.
The deadline to submit media credential applications is Friday, March 31.
All media members are required to adhere to the Boston Marathon Media Access Guidelines, which can be found here. Violation of the Boston Marathon Media Access Guidelines will result in loss of credential(s) and loss of future Boston Marathon media privileges.
Credentials will only be granted to those working for a recognized media outlet. Access to areas such as the start in Hopkinton, media workspace within the Fairmont Copley Plaza, media vehicles, and photo bridge will be limited this year.
