Jack Fleming Appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Boston Athletic Association

BOSTON (30-Nov) – The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) announced today that Jack Fleming has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the organization, effective immediately. Fleming brings more than three decades of experience at the B.A.A. to his new leadership role. His appointment follows a five-month-long national search.

2022 Boston Middle School Cross Country Championships Held at Franklin Park

Franklin Park, Boston, Mass. – Earlier today, champions were crowned at the 2022 Boston Middle School Cross Country Championships. Hosted by the Boston Athletic Association at Franklin Park, more than 300 middle school student-athletes from 15 City of Boston schools competed over a 1.1-mile course on a picture-perfect fall day for racing.

BOSTON – The Boston Athletic Association today announced the professional field for the 2022 B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, to be held on Sunday, November 13. Two-time Boston Marathon champions Lelisa Desisa and Daniel Romanchuk return, while 2021 Olympic Marathon bronze medalist Molly Seidel and two-time Olympian Molly Huddle lead the American charge.

B.A.A. Statement on Diana Kipyokei

The Boston Athletic Association has received the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) findings in regards to Diana Kipyokei. As a result of the AIU findings and in conformance with World Athletics and B.A.A. event rules, Kipyokei’s result in the 2021 Boston Marathon will be disqualified, pending the completion of relevant athlete appeals processes.
